It’s summer. Oxford’s overrun with tourists. Show them something of the city that’s usually hidden.
1. Get out a camera.
2. Find one of Oxford’s ‘beauty spots’. The Bridge of Sighs. Magdalen Tower. The Radcliffe Camera. Almost any street corner will do.
3. Take a photograph
BUT
The picture must include within its frame, or even as it’s focus, ‘Matter out of place’, a pollutant to its typical aesthetic perfection - a dustbin lorry, vomit, a passed out student. Anything that’s ‘muted’ by the common view of the city.
4. Email your pictures to curator@commaclub.co.uk
5. See the best on www.commaclub.co.uk.
THE RULES
The ‘dirt’ must be found - no throwing litter for the sake of a good picture.
No nudity.
